The OKA is a not for profit organization founded with one purpose in mind: to provide an open forum for all Okinawan styles of karate. In this organization we show respect to our common origins to the earliest of martial art forms in Okinawa and to many of their roots in Chinese forms of self defense. We aspire to share the understanding and performance of the many kihon, kata, kobudo, tuite and other elements which constitute each Okinawan form without prejudice nor favoritism of any style over another. We seek to find a common ground based upon our origins and to dispel the overly ambitious belief that any karate is essentially "better" than any other. You are welcome here in "brotherhood" as an Okinawan Karate Practitioner.
